Theory of diffraction heuristic approaches
Webb18 nov. 2024 · To eliminate the above-mentioned difficulties, practical tasks are solved using heuristic approaches in [ 1 – 3] based upon intuition and the physical features of a solution. The heuristic solutions are simpler than the strict analytical, have a higher speed, and are better for physical interpretation than the numerical solutions. Webb12 aug. 2024 · A technique for obtaining analytical heuristic solutions in two-dimensional problems of electromagnetic wave diffraction on semi-infinite objects with non-ideal boundary conditions is proposed. The essence of the technique is that the values of the … Webb27 juli 2015 · For heuristic purposes we illustrate aspects of the extinction-theorem theory by applying the approach for an infinitely high potential barrier to the vacuum hole. Finally, we calculate and discuss the aperture response tensor in the small hole limit and in the zeroth-order Born approximation.

Webb6 jan. 2024 · The paper formulates the foundations of a recently developed approach, named the method of fundamental components, intended for constructing heuristic solutions in problems of electromagnetic diffraction, for the first time. The difference between the new method and the known heuristic approaches lies in the application of … Webb30 jan. 2010 · The book is addressed to engineers, applied physicists and students, who need a compact, without complicated mathematics, comprehensive outline of the most effective methods of diffraction theory, capable of describing the lion's share of applied …
WebbA new approximate uniform geometrical theory of diffraction (UTD) solution is obtained for describing the field diffracted by a corner (vertex) in a perfectly conducting plane angular sector which is illuminated by a high-frequency electromagnetic plane wave. This corner diffraction solution is found by a uniform asymptotic reduction of the plane wave …
